  A brief but memorable stay in this perfectly placed luxury hotel. The staff are friendly, attentive and really well organised. Rooms were lovely and spacious and some had fantastic views, balconies or outside spaces.... Food was great but only had breakfast but the standard was high. Recommend

  Really friendly staff who go above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Helen who served us breakfast was especially thoughtful and welcoming making sure we new what was available and helping us get it. Talking of breakfast, and food in general, we have enjoyed every bite! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, with large confy beds that make falling asleep easy and relaxing a breeze! Its perfect for a special occasion or a weekend escape; we'll definitely be returning!

  Wonderful hotel and terrific room. The view of the bay was amazing! Our breakfast was fabulous and good quality. Comfy bed and lovely bathroom. The only thing that let it down was the lack of attention to detail in the spa. The relaxation room was so busy in decor that it was anything but relaxing! It was a bit cramped too. The blue neon lights and colour change LED wall was horrid! It would be better just to have a nicely decorated waiting area, with magazines to read. My massage was terrific but there was oil on the floor from the previous guest and the towel felt slightly damp like it hadn't been changed. The next day I used the swimming pool and was disappointed that there was no shampoo in the showers. Only shower gel which had been watered downa lot! I've been to many spas and this was disappointing. I would definitely use the hotel again and would recommend it, but probably not bother with the spa

  Our room was spacious, with a comfortable king sized bed. As it was a classic room, we didn't have a great view of the river, but it was visible and we did look out on the hotel's Zen Garden. The biggest let down in the room was the shower which was little more than a forceful drip. The view from the Terrace Bar is pretty spectacular and can also be seen from the window seats in Restaurant. The bar had a limited selection of beers -the usual suspects, which is a shame considering the number of local brewerys in the area. They did have a decent selection of gins. The food in the Grill restaurant was very good, stylish, but with substance. However, the service could have been better. The staff didn't seem to have assigned areas/tables and we often had to grab the attention of the wait staff a couple of times to chase up drink orders and the desert menu. We didn't use the Spa, but did use the pool area. It was okay, not quite as glamous as the hotel's website made out, but we had a relaxing hour spent in there. All in all, we enjoyed our get away at the hotel and would likely return - primarily for the food.
